George and Mark met in a restaurant working as Waiter and Sommelier. Over the next few short years they developed their own accommodation and property development business. Now, with Sorsi e Morsi they are back in the food and beverage business. In a world these days when it can seem like everything is “done”, Sorsi e Morsi (SeM) simply want to do their thing extremely well.
Welcome to the SeM Wine and Neapolitan Pizza Company. Why Neapolitan, because they taste so insanely good. With dough that is so morish yet doesn’t lie heavy on your stomach. Tomato sauce from Italian volcanic soils giving you the true taste of tomatoes moulded with mozzarella cheeses which melt on the palate like your Mediterranean holiday sunset. Pizza with taste is what best describes what comes from our 100% wood fired oven.
These covid times are a particular challenge. However we strive to deliver our pizza and wine to the south London area and look forward to welcoming guests again soon in our restaurant.
Neapolitan pizza is possibly the healthiest way to enjoy this Italian favourite. First mentioned in the late 19th century to commemorate a visit by the Queen of Savoy, this style allows for the most delicate of all pizza bases. Using caputo flour worked and proven for a whole day, our pizzas are then cooked at a consistent 400 degrees for between 40-60 seconds. The result, a ‘master pizza’ fit for royalty.
Our wines are carefully sourced. Most are suitable to be served by the glass, most often costing no more than other regular outlets. We serve wine to sip, raise eyebrows and fulfil your taste buds. Dive into the experience in house or delivered.
